Walking through buderim at night, alone, outside.
With respect, acknowledgement, solidarity and gratitude to the Kabbi Kabbi People.
When I was very young growing up in Buderim, I would see the spirits of the Country and feel the energies of the Mountain. It would terrify me but as I grew older and entered my teens, home was becoming and increasingly unsafe environment so I would stay out as late as possible and so I would find myself exposed to them more and more often after the sun had set. It was kind of an enforced way of getting myself used to them and realising there is nothing to fear.
